We’re delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs to Lydgate Cottage, allowing you to explore the magic of Dartmoor with your four-legged companion by your side. To ensure the comfort, cleanliness, and enjoyment of all our guests, we kindly ask that the following policy be observed during your stay.
🐾 Dog-Friendly Accommodation

Lydgate Cottage: Welcomes a maximum of two well-behaved dogs £60 Per dog per Stay.
🏡 Where Dogs Are Welcome

Dogs are welcome in your cottage and in the outside area provided they are kept on a lead.

At Lydgate House Hotel, dogs are not permitted in the guest lounge or dining room to ensure a peaceful and allergy-considerate environment.

Exceptions apply for registered assistance dogs, who are permitted access to all guest areas in accordance with UK law.
🐶 General Expectations

Dogs must be house-trained, calm, and well-behaved at all times.

Dogs may be left unattended in the cottage for short periods only, they must not be left alone for extended periods.

Dogs are not allowed on any furniture, including beds, chairs, or sofas.

Please bring your own dog bedding, towels, food bowls, and waste bags.

Guests are expected to clean up after their dogs in all areas, both indoors and outdoors.
🧹 Cleaning & Damages

An additional cleaning fee may apply if deep cleaning is required due to dog hair, odours, or accidents.

Any damage caused by dogs to rooms, furniture, or the grounds will be charged accordingly.

We reserve the right to request that guests make alternative arrangements (without refund) if their dog causes ongoing disruption, damage, or distress to others.
